This fabric is a blend of rayon and linen, combining the best qualities of both natural fibers. It has a lightweight, breathable twill weave. Soft enough for pyjamas, yet with enough body and drape for statement sleeves, boxy tops, and gathered skirts, it's a versatile staple for any fabric stash. The linen gives it a slightly rustic feel. It's beginner-friendly and easy to work with.

Lovely drape, great weight for summer pants

I won't be making this viscose/linen blend fabric into summer pants until Spring. I can compare it to Kaufmann's Brussels Washer Linen which is a rayon/linen blend I have used previously. Comparing this to the Washer Linen, this is a heavier weight, the weave a tad looser and the drape combined with the heavier weight makes it perfect for summer drawstring pants. Therefore my first impression is that I like it much better than the Kaufmann Brussels Washer Linen. As I do with all fabrics, I ripped the raw edges to get a straight edge, then zig zagged those edges multiple times and washed on a light cycle. The fabric still frayed significantly and much more than any of the rayon fabrics I am familiar with - it came close to clogging the sink. This worries me a bit but I will finish all raw edges carefully. I will order fabric from Riverside Fabrics again.
