This fabric features the work of illustrator Sanae Sugimoto and features nostalgic scenes of girls and nature elements in vermillion and black ink. Her works are inspired by classical works of English literature and are defined by her use of traditional Japanese ink, known as "sumi." Made from a blend of cotton and linen, this fabric is lightweight, versatile and would work for many projects such as dresses, homewares, shirts & more. 

 * Due to the nature of the fabric, which has uneven surfaces such as small round cotton fibers and natural knots, there may be some areas where the print appears as small white dots

About Sanae Sugimoto

Sanae Sugimoto was born in Tottori Prefecture, Japan in 1975. After studying oil painting in Kyoto, Sugimoto relocated to Fukuoka in southern Japan, where she is still based now. Her works are inspired by classical works of English literature and are defined by her use of traditional Japanese ink, known as "sumi."
